Many roads WERE "private" in the beginning of this nation and that DID NOT work out well;hence the change.

The Post Office has so much compition now,many people no longer write any sort of letters,and there isw the net,that the PO may soon die anyway.

I think times have changed enough to at least let private roads get another chance. Remember they used to think nobody but the government could deliver a package
