Were you one that suggested that a DD214 wouldn't even have been issued for an officer? I thought I read some 'freepers' suggesting just that.
However, I was both enlisted and commissioned. I definitely got a DD214 when I ETSed from enlisted serivce and I THINK I got it when I ETSed as opposed to when I finished my IRR two years later.
Again, if my memory is correct, I received a DD214 when I left active duty as a commissioned officer despite my having maintained my commission for several years.
