Irregularities Found In Registrations (Blatant Vote Fraud & Future Trend)
News-Democrat ^ | 10-30-2004 | Patrick Powers

A high number of absentee ballots and multiple names registered to the same address in East St. Louis are raising questions about the integrity of the election Tuesday, Illinois Treasurer Judy Baar Topinka said Friday.

During a news conference outside the East St. Louis Board of Election Commissioners office, Topinka highlighted suspicious cases. The cases were discovered by Illinois Republican Party members tracking absentee ballots in the Illinois Supreme Court race between Democrat Gordon Maag and Republican Lloyd Karmeier.

"There are questions that jump up and bite you on the nose," said Topinka, who also serves as Illinois Republic Party chairman. "This is not a Republican issue or a Democrat issue. This is an issue about fairness."

It also was an issue quickly dismissed by East St. Louis Democrats.

"I don't have any concerns about voter fraud in East St. Louis," said Charlie Powell, East St. Louis Democratic Committee chairman and 9th precinct committeeman. "The Republicans are raising all this fuss to stymie the black voter in the black communities."

One of the suspicious cases Topinka highlighted centered on Powell's own home.

"If I didn't think this was important, I wouldn't be here," Topinka said.

Here are some of the findings:

• A total of 30 registered voters, most with different last names, are purported to live at 1232 Cleveland Ave. in East St. Louis. The address is registered to Oliver Hamilton, a Democrat and 20th precinct committeeman. Eleven of the voters requested absentee ballots for the election Tuesday. Hamilton couldn't be reached for comment.

• Of the 44 Democratic precinct committeemen in East St. Louis, 22 have at least three registered voters with different last names purporting to live at the committeemen's homes. Seven of those committeemen have five or more.

• One woman listed the Casino Queen, 200 S. Front St., as her home address. The same woman requested her absentee ballot be sent to a St. Louis address.

• At least 678 voters are registered for both East St. Louis and St. Clair County.

• At Powell's home, 1714 Bond Ave., 17 voters are registered. Of those, 14 cast ballots in the March primary election.

"Oliver Hamilton and I both run boarding houses, and one of the things that happens frequently with boarding houses is people move in and move out," Powell said. "When people move and we try to tell the election board, they tell us, 'We can only purge the list every 10 years or so.'"

The East St. Louis Board of Election Commissioners last purged its voter rolls in June and July 2003. The board conducts a voter purge every two years as required by state law, executive director James Lewis said.

New voters are added any time they register in person or return the card sent every two years by the Board of Election Commissioners to those listed on the rolls, he said.

"If a person signs the card and attests that everything is true, then we are obligated to put that person on the voter registration role," Lewis said.

So why is this important to all of us? Because it's what's going on around the country and now it's gone so far that government officials are now blatantly using their own addresses to commit voter fraud. We need to spend our next four years under W cleaning out the Rats

Do we not have severe penalties for people who use fraud in their efforts to subvert our government? Or are activist judges simply refusing to uphold their most important duty?

It's time for people to show valid IDs to vote.

The Democrats, between the physical violence and widespread fraud they are suborning, seem to be begging to destroy the American tradition of elections.

I do not think they realize how easily they can invalidate the public's support for representative government by pulling these hijinks.

Think for a moment if Kerry "wins" on the 2nd via indisputable voter fraud. The Dems will not stop for a moment to declare themselves winners. What happens next? They are counting on the Republicans to back down and the public to accept it. I don't think that would happen. And I don't want to think about what in fact would happen.

sighhhhhh . . .

This is going on in my home state of Illinois, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the democrat party.

I don't know why they're bothering -- the fraud in Chicago is more than enough to carry the state for Kerry. Perhaps they're doing this to keep in practice.

President Bush is winning MO by at least 5 points, so in this case it's OK to let the Dems cheat.

Maybe we need to break out the indelible ink and start staining thumbs.

I think these folks were just following the long voting fraud tradition in Illinois. We wouldn't know what to do without it. After all, Illinois made enough votes from the cemeteries to give the election to JFKennedy.

The 'rats will do anything to cheat. The know they can't win outright. I suspect a lot of dead voters will haunt the polling places too. Rat's are very good at mobilizing the dear departed, regardless of that person's party affiliation in this world.

"Illinois Treasurer Judy Baar Topinka said Friday"

wow. This Judy Topinka deserves a medal. This kind of meticulous work, vetting the voter roles is exactly what needs to be done over the next few days. The only way the dems. will win is if they can cast enough fraudulent ballots. Detecting it is like finding a needle in a haystack, which is precisely what Ms. Topinka has done.

In Ohio, identification is not required to register to vote. Identification is also not required to vote.

These idiots never heard of a computer I guess. This has been done for years, but with modern databases and computers these people are going to get caught eventually. We just can't leave it up to the local precincts to root them out. We need serious jail time and fines.

I never get asked for ID and I always ask if they want to see my license.

All they do is look at signature.

Meanwhile, I was turned down (initially) for my absentee ballot in St Clair County. Then, when a repeatedly called the office and sent faxes with all of my paperwork the lady in the clerks office (quite a b!tch) told me she was sending me one. I guess they don’t want Republican military officers voting!

Penalty for voter fraud should be severe. Additionally, congress needs to investigate collussion between many members of the MSM and DNC for what is clearly an attempt to subvert the elections by media coup de tet.

Dem voter fraud has always gone on, and the good news is that finally it's being closely monitored by local Republicans and then reported, and those reports go all over the internet for one major venue. It's not so easy for them to cheat and get away with it anymore.

Can we get someone to follow these two slimes around on Tuesday to see how many times they vote?

No, it's even bigger than that. This is an issue about the most important thing that makes us the greatest nation on earth! This is about everybody having their voice HEARD! Now we have lawyers waiting in the wings in every state to add further chaos! FREEPERS! Write your sec. of state. Flood them with letters, and volunteer to help wherever you can. This must not happen ANY MORE! No partisanship WHATSOEVER can be a force in this.
