BUSH HAS THE MO [NRO, "The Corner" - another chat with Bush insider]
The Corner at NRO ^ | 10/30/04 | Katherine Jean Lopez

BUSH HAS THE MO [KJL]

That's the GOP message tonight as they work to the ends of the continental U.S. and beyond--to Honolulu!! Bush/Cheney is confident this Saturday night. They believe these last days will prove they have made significant inroads throughout the U.S. at the grassroots level. Starting yesterday, 150,000 volunteers are working in the tightest states, contacting 18 million voters to get out the vote for W. They say they’ve registered 3.4 million more Republicans since the last presidential election. That those GOTVers are volunteers, too, they say is significant.

In Florida alone—on Friday alone—GOP officials say volunteers knocked on 170,000 doors and made 200,000 calls. Though E Day they expect those numbers to hit 17,000 volunteers will 800,000 doors and 1.2 million calls. Just in Florida, a state where they’ve been confident for more than a few days now. But it’s not lackluster in Ohio either. GOP officials are saying 14,000 volunteers will knock on 400,000 doors and make 990,000 calls.

Mark Shields of the Capital Gang says Florida will go Kerry due in no small part to their 250,000 volunteers. He predicts a big Kerry win, 286 electoral votes. Shields and Al Hunt are both delusional, along with NPR and the rest of the usual suspects.

Compare that GOP confidence to the Kerry campaing insider's "leak" to an AP reporter today (Ron Fornier) saying their internal polls showed a Bush lead and a general momentum in Bush's direction. Why would a campaign operative leak such a story?

Can you provide a link to the AP story? I'm amazed they would ever print something even remotely negative about Kerry, especially now.

***Has anybody seen Teresa recently??***

Nope! HMMMMM, wonder why? Has she offended every group possible? I'd think he'd HAVE to let her out, er, take her along, at some point . . . haven't seen much of the other John and Elizabeth too much, eithr.

And who is by her husbands side, smiling and holding his hand, looking elegant and friendly, at almost every event? The same lady who her husband, our President, says is one of the main reasons to re-elect him--so she can be First Lady for four more years. THAT should say a lot to the American people, at least the "real" people. (movie stars and singers excepted)

Weekend polling always trends left, every single time. If Osama had opened his fat mouth on Monday, we might be able to get an accurate poll read, but now we'll never know.

Another thing that sucks is that if Bush wins in a landslide, the dems will just say that Osama scared people into it and that he has no policy mandate. Ah well, let them eat cake.

It couldn't hurt. Losing 3,000 Americans in 90 minutes tends to concentrate the mind...

my biggest fear is voter fraud. no matter how good it looks going in i just don't trust the rats. they will be "finding" tens of thousands of votes in these close states. GOTV for BUSH/CHENEY is the only way to eclipse the fraud.

No I don't know if he DOES know what he wants. He has been going around telling people he was "going to grow up and be president someday" for so long, that even if he really doesn't want to be anymore, he wouldn't even recognize it.

I would bet he doesn't. He wants the pomp and circumstance. He wants the power an prestige. He wants the publicity and perks. But, when it comes down to having to make life altering decisions for millions of people, working with Congress and having his every word and deed overly scrutinized, I don't think he can hold up under it. He didn't in Vietnam, he got out as soon as possible because it involved hard work and courage. I don't believe Kerry has any of that.

If fact, I bet when these two terrorist videos came in, he had to do a major "clench" to keep from pooping his pants.

H+LL--, 100,000 Lawyers "attending the Kerry Campaign," are 100,00 LESS lawyers sueing the "Rest of Us!!"

We Ought to be Grateful!!

For a Short Time, The "Parasites" are Too Distracted to Torture the "Rest of Us!!"

Perhaps the "Rest of Us" can Earn a Living while the "Lawyers" are Distracted!!

The Financial Damage Done by these PARASITES (Lawyers) is INCALCULABLE!!

The American Legal Profession has DESTROYED FAR MORE BUSINESS than It Is Worth.

It is WAY PAST TIME that the "So-Called 'Legal Profession'" be FORBIDDEN to Influence American Law.

WHO--In Their "Right Mind"--would let Those who "Profit from "The Law" WRITE "Those Laws??"

In the Early Days of Our Constitution, "Lawyers" were "Expressly Forbidden" from Political Activity (The ORIGINAL Thirteenth Amendment!); SOMEHOW, the Prohibition of Lawyers Participating in American Politics was Overcome (read the History of the Thirteenth Amendment to the Constitution!)

The "Legal Liability Climate" in America has MORE Than Doubled the cost of Medical Care & Drugs!!

"Loser Pays" would Drop the "Legal Overhead" by 90%!!

THINK ABOUT IT--If You Sue Me, & you are WRONG, You Pay my Legal Expenses & My Losses.

If You're RIGHT, the Current Rules Apply--I am Liable.

But NOW, if you're WRONG, YOU PAY ALL of my Legal Expenses & Losses.

Under the "Above Rules," Englad has 2% of the Liability Cases Filed in America.

I Estimate a "Roughly 20% decrease" in Medical Costs on that Liability Change, alone--maybe More!!

The "Silicon Breast Implant Lawsuits" cost BILLIONS of dollars--& Yet, when the "Scientific Information was Collated," there was NO CORRELLATION between "Disease" & "Breast Implant!!"

The Whole "Flap" was a "Multi-billion dollar Liability Lawyer Scam" which CONTINUES to cost Legitimate Patients Hundreds of extra dollars for their Medications (to Pay Off the 'Multi-Billion Dollar Settlement to the Lawyers')!!

It's Time for us to Abandon the "Windfall Mentality;" 'cause Whatever "Windfall" our Fellow citizen receives, will mean WE PAY MORE "Down the Road!!"

TANSTAAFL!!----"There Ain't No Such Thing as a Free Lunch!!"

The "Liability Lawyers" have been Selling us a "Free Lunch" for a Long Time; It's Time we Stopped Being Stupid!!!

Doc

I don't know whether to stay up election night and watch the results...

Why stay up late. We'll know by ~8:15 EST when NH, FL, OH, PA, and MI are in the bag. B 52, K 47 ---- >360 EV's for W.
