Fred did say he was shaky on the Daschle prediction. Thune does right now have the momentum, though Daschle is now bringing in lawyers.

They didn't include the Democrat Fraud Factor in their prognastication.

The problem with comparing predictions from 2000 with ones from 2004 is that methods were adjusted since then in many cases. So to say someone was right or wrong with their 2000 predictions proves they are right or wrong this time isnt very helpful.

I used to be skeptical about how W backers attacked Zogby for his methods because they didn't show our guy leading, until I saw his 2002 bellyflops. And this week he changed his weighting because he didn't believe his Thune numbers--changing your methods AFTER you've come up with an answer is amateur hour.

I don't know what to think about this prediction, but if they learned from 2000, it's legit.

GEE I HOPE SO! [ 286 Electoral College votes for GWB ]
I have had a bad bad year. First a fire at our house Oc.t 2003. Then we got robbed in San Antonio $32K worth. Then OSU lost to Texas A&M. Yes that is serious to ME. OSU lost to OU today. We went to Cotton Bowl and OSU lost. We went to the Final Four and OSU lost. Like my luck is just rotten for 13 months now. It just seems like everything keeps going wrong. I won't list all the little problems or the rest of the big ones. But it seems like every time I wake up determined to keep my chin up, I get kicked back into the dirt face down. That is why I have been so worried about the presidential election. I have been so jinxed lately. Maybe Tuesday will mark the start of my GOOD LUCK YEAR!!!!!!

Mort and Fred have been saying OH won't go to Bush for a while now. I'm not sure why they're so pessimistic there.

They also stand by their prediction that Daschle will win.

Not so sure about Delaware, but I agree with you for the most part.

They did predict a Daschle win, but Fred said he was a bit uncomfortable about predicting that.
They feel that Daschle has a way of pulling off a win.

It sounds to me like, just maybe this weekend, you should become a Kerry supporter.

Most polls I've seen have shown WV in Bush column, outside the margin of error of polls. As a former W Virginian, I have serious problems believing that WV will not come in under the radar as a big surprise Tues. night. Just keep in mind, last time even if the polls showed them losing it, the Democrats wouldn't believe it. This time they have had ample time to register phantom voters and do all the usual stuff that goes on in WV elections to make certain that it goes back in the Democrat column. If it goes to Bush, then the Democrats have truly lost their grip on the state and the people have wakened from their deep sleep.

If W wins IL, I'll eat my hat. The chocolate one.
