My neighbor gave me a chewing out tonight over Bush. He is hispanic, a Catholic and a Democrat and he basically told me that how could I put a man back in office that is killing our troops in Iraq and gave Saddam all his WMDs and who gives tax breaks to the ultrarich?

I replied calmly that most of Saddam's weapons came from Russia, China and France, and that Kerry was poised to raise taxes on the middle class. Also that I couldn't vote for Kerry over abortion, gun control, US sovereignty etc.

That didn't even slow him down. He made the remarkable observation that if Kerry chose to raise his taxes, that would be a good thing for him, because he will get the benefit from those taxes in the form of free health care, etc. It all ended rather badly.

The left is on the edge. All of us, get everyone you know to the polls.

We spent a couple of weeks in British Columbia, CA, and met some locals who gloated over their socialized medicine.

Since I was a guest, it was difficult for me to not remind them that if the US was not taking care of their freedom, then they would also have to militarize.

I did get a jab in two in though about people in the US who love to "sit on the porch", and call 911 when they have a toothache.

Amazing - I think your neighbor is my co-worker. I didn't realize he commuted every day from Georgia to New York City.
