He shows up at busy intersections and roads from Portland to Calais, wearing a George W. Bush mask and dancing a herky-jerky jig as he entertains motorists and draws attention to his anti-Republican message.
The dance is the "Wiener Boy Shuffle" (W is for Wiener), and the man behind the mask is none other than Tom Connolly, the lawyer who made Bush's drunken driving conviction public before the 2000 election.
Enjoying his masked anonymity, Connolly has chosen to take the road less traveled with a mix of guerrilla theater and political satire.

Childs crosses party lines, endorses McRae
Democrat William Childs, who until Wednesday was Cumberland County's judge of probate, endorsed Republican Teri McRae Friday in her bid to unseat incumbent Register of Probate Alfred Piombino. Childs said Piombino's management style is responsible for low morale and high employee turnover in the probate office. As a result he decided to cross party lines and endorse a Republican candidate for the first time in his life.
