It looks like you would be wrong...the officer has been charged with murder...and this thread is resurrected by a "friend" of the deceased.
A friend of the deceased or not. I'll give you 10:1 odds that the kid did something cocky and stupid thinking he would just intimidate some "old man" and skate on by like he probably has done a hundred times before to other innocent pedestrians in parking lots. Only this time, he ran into a murderering nutjob who called him on his arrogance.
Of course he didn't deserve this fate, but something had to set off the shooter.
