Speaking of media bias, here’s a question you won’t hear in our big papers or on network TV: Does Yasser Arafat have AIDS?
We know he has a blood disease that is depressing his immune system. We know that he has suddenly dropped considerable weight – possibly as much as 1/3 of all his body weight. We know that he is suffering intermittent mental dysfunction. What does this sound like?

It was interesting to watch the recent video of him in the wheelchair holding hands with his supporters. At on point, he leaned over, apparently to kiss the hand of one of the supporters, and that person quickly pulled his hand away. The video clip ended shortly thereafter.
Interesting you mention he has AIDS. Last night on Fox News they showed a video of him in his compound surrounded by his merry men. He was holding hands with one supporter and he went to pull the hand up toward his mouth and the other fellow pulled his hand down before it reached Arafat's lips. HMMMMMM!
Then it must not have been treated at all. Quite a few of the autoimmune reponse diseases are treatable with low doses of chemotherapy drugs (like methotrexate) or with the new TNF suppresor drugs like Enbrel or Remicade. Both are pretty successful with lupus.
If he has ALS, all of what I said above doesn't apply.

Some things you just don't say without expecting trouble, no matter how true they may be. Examples:
1) My mother made the same thing, only it tasted better;
2) Yes, honey, that dress DOES make you look fat; and
3) Women's brains are smaller than men's brains.
He didn't say men were smarter than women, only that men had larger brains.
Don't turn this into an uproar like the one that occurred after a D.C. official said the word "niggardly", which means stingy, and had to resign because some idiots thought it had something to do with the N-word.
