OK gang here is the deal....

Someone mentioned the Former Secretary of the Navy in question was Mittendorf under Nixon

now that makes perfect sense because that is when our dear Jean Francois Kerry was up to no good whilst still a commissioned officer of the Navy and it has always puzzled me why Nixon et al who were keeping their eye on Kerry, after all the FBI were following him around, didn't take some kind of action vs Kerry - now treason is a difficult offence to prove and the rumour is Nixon didn't want to make Kerry a martyr but a less than honourable discharge would be an easyt thing to administer under the circumstances, esp since Nixon knew Kerry was politically ambitious......and it all makes sense with 1978 discharge under Carter etc.

however unless Mittendorf is alive or someone from the Navy with personal knowledge of facts will go on the record or there is some indisputable documentation from Mittendorf or the Navy that confirms Kerry was less than honourably discharged and better yet, why, this is just a rumour and
has no legs......

of course I can already hear the DNC screaming that this is just Nixon getting his revenge on the brave anti war John Kerry from the grave and everyone knew Nixon had it out for Kerry blah blah blah but who cares, it brings the focus back to Kerry and since he couldn't be bothered to release all his military records and gosh darn if he can prove otherwise, it's too late......

but like I said, Kerry campaigned in 1970 and said he was honourably discharged in 1970 - at minimum we expose yet another Kerry lie and we expose the reason why he won't sign that Standard Form 180 and what he is hiding from the public......

Middendorf is certainly alive:

Hon. J. William Middendorf II, Heritage Trustee Since 1989 Chairman, Middendorf and Company, Washington, D.C.

Middendorf has served a number of presidential administrations in high-level positions, including Secretary of the Navy and Ambassador to the European Communities, the Organization of American States, and the Netherlands. A delegate to presidential nominating conventions as far back as Barry Goldwater’s in 1964, Middendorf remains active in shaping conservative foreign, defense and economic policy through regular meetings with staff members on Capitol Hill.
