There's Kerry's trouble. He DID give aid to the enemy. We already know that. Would that be grounds for a less than honorable discharge?
That should have been grounds 30 years ago to try and hang him for treason. We didn't have the stomach then to charge him with treason and it seems our country doesn't have the stomach to try him for treason now.
I don't really know. Having been in the service during that time period (in Germany, not Viet Nam), most of us draftees were disgruntled to a certain extent.
But negotiating with the enemy crossed the line, IMO.
