To: Fedora
It's been occurring to me that Kerry consistently exhibits the kind of one-world thinking promoted by the World Federalists. (I haven't heard much about them since I was in high school, but I suppose they are still at it.)

World Federalism has all the earmarks of a humanist religion whose higher authority is the State instead of God. Believers have always favored increasing state power, and always put international power over national, state or local government.

I agree. Kerry's father certainly had a global government orientation, and by all accounts Kerry and his sister at the UN follow their father's foreign policy views. Kerry made that comment in the 1970s about subordinating US military decisions to the UN, and more recently he made the "global test" comment (which he apparently made before he unmade it, since immediately afterward he claimed he didn't make it, contrary to my lying ears).
