I'm convinced that the "missing explosives" story not only is a dud for Dems, but that it backfires on many levels. It is simply too complicated for John and Joan Q. Public to follow.
This isn't and never was the October Surprise. This was just last week. The FBI criminal probe of Haliburton and Bush/Cheney, shades of Walsh/Weinberger, launched no doubt by Dem hacks at the Bureau, will be the wall-to-wall talking point of all the Sunday shows and MSM through Tuesday. That is, unless there is a two-punch, as I suspect, that is reserved for late Sunday that the explosives was only feint and diversion to cover and maintain secrecy for.

Sorry, Halliburton ain't gonna fly. This has ZERO impact with Bush's base.
For any "October Surprise" to have any effect, it must suppress Bush's base.
