Pedro promised in an interview he's not going to the Yankees even if he doesn't resign. He can't stand Posada. And you can't have a starter and a catcher who'd like to bludgeon one another.

That's not exactly what he told Dan Patrick today. He said, regarding the Yankees, "I won't be ruling them out but I won't be ruling them in, either."

As for Posada and Pedro not getting along, there was no love lost between Clemens and the Yankees before he got traded there, either. But they somehow managed to work together.

I heard the DP interview. He gave an interview to a newspaper that differed. I guess I don't truly know what Pedro feels. My guess is that he wanted to keep goosing John Henry to get him to pay more to keep Pedro from Steinbrenner.
