Battleground State Wisconsin: Bush Winning 85% of the Business Owners' Vote

The Nicolet Bank Business Pulse (C) - a quarterly study of Business Owners and CEOs in Northeastern Wisconsin - overwhelmingly favors President George W. Bush.

Released today, The Nicolet Bank Business Pulse(C) has President Bush winning 85% of the Business Owners vote with 5% Undecided. Senator Kerry received 10%; Ralph Nader did not register. They study was conducted during the 2nd and 3rd weeks of October.

Business Owners rated Bush Excellent (18%) and Good (50%) for the job he was doing as president (24% Only Fair; 8% Poor). In his handling of the Economy, President Bush rated Excellent (21%), Good (46%), Only Fair (23%) and Poor (10%). On Foreign Policy, the President rated Excellent (28%), Good (36%), Only Fair (20%) and Poor (16%).

According to the Business Owners, President Bush will do a better job than Senator Kerry at Creating Jobs, Holding Down Inflation, Reducing Deficit Spending, Appointing a new Federal Reserve Board Chief, Controlling Healthcare Costs and Improving the Balance of Trade.

The Nicolet Bank Business Pulse(C) is a Quarterly Survey of CEOs and Business Owners in 10 Northeastern Wisconsin counties. The Business Pulse is an Internet survey designed and implemented by IntellectualMarketing, LLC. Participants include: 25% in manufacturing; 25% in services; 19% retail trade; 4% wholesale trade; 7% finance, real estate, insurance; 6% in transportation, communications, utilities; 5% in construction; 9% in other industries. Fourteen percent have fewer than 6 employees; 29% have 6-25; 15% have 26-50 employees; 14% 51-100 employees; 18% 101-250 employees; 5% 251-500 employees; 2% 501-1,000 employees; 4% have 1,001 or more.
