it could very well happen. for a lot of people in NJ the

war on terror is a very personal issue. Might be a VERY

early night Tuesday if NJ goes red.

If Democratic Hudson County does go BIG for Bush, John F*ckin's goose is cooked. I can't believe the President is up in a Democratic stronghold! Then again, the President has been a big hit in areas carried by Algore in 2000.

I live in nj, and actually hope some pub lawyers show up at the polls in this state to help prevent election fraud. I think it's been going on for years here (got no proof, just a gut feeling).

First, I hoe it's so, and Bush walks away with NJ's EVs.

Second, I bet against it happening, right after the fluke FDU poll. Not as confident it was a good bet the last 36 hours.

Third, Expect problems in the vote tallying in NJ, if at some point in the night, the internal exit polls show Bush ahead.

Fourth, Kerry tries to clusterf**k the Pharma industry, the Pharma industry employees aren't going out without a fight. If each Pharma employee in NJ influences 2 friends to vote against Kerry, it's more than enough votes to turn the state to Bush.

Fifth, Kerry lacks any street cred, any sense of the NJ everyman, hell, Springstein can play at rallies for you, but needing him there is an admission of your lack of blu collar credentials. In places like Hudson county, the average person realizes that Kerry would be afraid to even walk down the street in some of the neighborhoods there, let alone stand up and lead in a time of renewed terror attacks nationwide. Clinton would not only walk the walk in the neighborhood, he'd stop at Mickey D's and scarf down 2 Big Macs withthe locals.

Sixth, Religious communities in the state

Seventh, Terrorism

Eighth, In a state where anti-gun, pro-NEA, "for the children" mush platitudes can get almost any warm bodied Democrat elected, there has been a complete lack of that type of campaigning by Kerry in N. Jersey. I love the conundrum, how can one be anti-gun, anti-self defense, and be pro military, pro strong national defense? Ephemeral Jersey voters finally caught on, after their neighbors and friends ashed drifted across the Hudson.

Ninth, Corruption, Deomcrats, McSleaze

I'm not sure about the religious community angle. They(we) overwhelmingly vote Rep election after election in the rural, exurban, and suburban areas.

It's apparent that Bush's message is resonating in New Jersey. In the Oct. 15 FDU poll, Bush leads Kerry on the terrorism question by a resounding 67 to 26 percent.

This is the kind of question the decision will turn on with many a voter once they get into the booth.
