They should have a Fish Fry to raise money, or a BBQ.
Animals cannot have rights. They cannot respect them nor understand them.
They are not human. However, we are to be good stewards of them.
Why is it that most of the people who really help animals are Republicans? They serve on boards of animals shelters, donate to causes...but this stupid group gets nothing done but publicity.
This group is nutty, but you want to know something nuttier? I had a girlfriend once who was a big "animal rights" activist and a peta member -- but she hated Bill Clinton and voted for Bush's father. These PETA people are so out there that even the RATS don't want anything to do with them. Skerry lost their votes when he went "hunting" or whatever he was doing. They're Nader voters, they might even be Bush voters, but they're crazy and dumb, don't worry about'em.
PETA is not just some hopped up ASPCA. They think it's okay to destroy animals in order to save them.
Of 4 cats, I have 2 bush votes, one kerry, and one nader.
From someone else's files:

Sounds like one of your cats may be a weasle.
Say what you will about PETA but you have to admit that they have the best liberal protesters around. :-)
I've always suspected the cats around here of being communists.
Anyone watch the demise of PETA on South Park last night?
Actually their position is contradictory. They publicly state that we're just another one of the animals ("A pig is a rat is a dog is a boy"), yet if we act like just another one of the animals and eat the ones we need for food, they think that's bad. So, strangely, their position seems to be based on the idea that we are different, exactly the opposite of their stated belief.
You got that right. I grew up in rural Maryland and saw deer infrequently. I went back and visited last year and the area had been much more developed, and the things were standing around in every field like cattle.
Veggies are not food, veggies are what food eats.
Pam has Hep C?
Wow, that's pretty big news.
Exactly how did she get that?
The virus is spred by sharing needles with an infected user, or by contaminated blood tranfusions.
The test for blood bourne HepC has been used to screen all donor blood since 1991, so that's probably out.
There is anecdotal evidence of a remote possiblity of spread through sexual contact, but there is zero confirmation of that.
Hep C is currently treated by weekly interferon injections, along with a high daliy dose of Ribaviron.
The length of course of treatment dependes on the Genome type:
Hep C genome type II = six months, genome type I = 1 year
This treatment has nasty side effects.
So, how did PETAbitch get this?
