I don't see the point of your post either. Who cares if Destro thinks Kerry does or doesn't like Russia? On this particular issue (freedom in Russia), Kerry (along with George Will) was dead right. And President Bush did not disagree with him. In fact, he said he was troubled himself by developments in Russia.
That was an off topic post, I agree.
The "political opposition" being jailed are thugs and mafia.
Putin does not control all of the media, but a great deal of it is controlled by mafia.
And the system of central leadership Putin is suggesting has been used in Italy for a long time.
Not every country has to be a look alike to our country.
In many ways Russia has much greater freedom than we do.
Finally all of the crap spewed by Kerry was the same crap being spewed in Russia by the liberals there.
It amazes me how many here on FR are spewing the same liberal viewpoints, just keeping in the safety zone by using Russia to display them.
