Figures today indicate Bush up by 15% in early voting.
I'm voting tomarrow in Bradenton, Florida.
I voted early in Illinois because I am going to be an election judge. There were only 2 of us voting.
It's interesting that the article referenced elderly people who are voting early. Kerry's strategy to scare the elderly might be working. Only, they are so frightened that Kerry might be elected, along with his straight-jacket wife, that they are turning out in huge numbers to vote against him.
I'm so worried about Democrat fraud and litigation. It really needs to be a blowout win for Bush.
William R. Scherer, a Fort Lauderdale lawyer working for the Republicans, said that his party had no need for such stunts. "We don't need to bus," he said. "Most of our people have cars."
LOL!
I was talking to a Nueces County Republican official a few days ago, and he mentioned an elderly Republican who had died. My father aske if that person had voted yet, and I asked if it was still too late for him to vote in Nueces County.
There was a thread here on FR in which a Freeper's father was discharged from the hospital with a terminal diagnosis, and was going into a home care center. On the way, they drove him by his voting place and he got to vote for Bush. They brought the voting stuff to him in the ambulance. He got to vote and then they took him to the home care center. A few hours later, he lapsed into a coma and passed away. It was quite a post to read.
Early voting begins in Texas today 10-18-2004
BUSY polling place this morning!Look at THIS early voting turnout in Texas:
>>>I'm voting tomarrow in Bradenton, Florida.
So where will you be voting Tuesday?
(Kidding!!) :)
Here in Madison on Thursday, more than 80,000 people jammed onto a sloping boulevard leading up to the State Capitol to hear Senator John Kerry and Bruce Springsteen urge them to vote Democratic and, if possible, to do so early. Fresh from the rally, thousands in the crowd were directed to walk six blocks to the city-county building to cast their votes, marching behind Kerry volunteers toting "Follow Me" banners.
By Monday, more than 350,000 voters had already cast their ballots in North Carolina, nearly 6.5 percent of the state's registered voters - matching the total of early voters for the entire 2000 election.bump bump bump!
The early vote has not gone smoothly everywhere. In Florida, Republicans charged that their voters were harassed at sites in Democratic precincts in Broward County.
Matthew Miller, Florida spokesman for the Kerry campaign, shrugged off the charges and said Republicans were complaining "so when they offer challenges on Election Day they've set the groundwork."bump bump bump!
Figures today indicate Bush up by 15% in early voting. And let's NOT get complacent!
To ALL Freepers and Lurker voters:
GO to the polls and vote for Bush. Take your friends with you to do the same. If you know any Zell Miller type Democrats that support Bush and they are voting for him, take them as well.
Vote EARLY to avoid the rush. If you wait until November 2nd, make SURE to go and vote!! And if you do wait until November 2nd, remember:
IGNORE ANYTHING IN THE MEDIA YOU HEAR (i.e., making a fast, early call in Florida for Kerry, etc.). WE CAN AVOID A REPEAT OF THE FLORIDA ELECTION DEBACLE OF 2000 THIS YEAR IF GOP TURNOUT IS STRONG, imho.
[Expletive deleted] !!!
Early voting bothers me. With single day voting, poll watchers can guesstimate the people coming and going. If they count 8K and the precinct reports 20K, it's pretty damn obvious once you know the absentee count. With early voting, who the hell knows.
Texas is looking good!
I like that photo!
Texas is looking good!It sure is. Looks like a HIGH turnout to me.
I notice that Collin county has the highest percentage turnout on that list:
- 115,491 vote / 31.26%
I bet 90-95% of those votes are for Bush, too!And probably 75% of Dallas county ??? .....
Thanks. Me too. AtomicPossum made that pic.
