People talk up Mitt Romney, but please.

Could he be more boring?

Arnie REALLY wishes he was born in the USA. Too bad. Four years out, it's impossible to say who will be the nominee. People also talk up Owens from CO. It seems that the Governor's chair is where most of our Presidents eventually hail from, especially in last half century.

Rudy is collecting many IOUs in this campaign.

He will be hard to beat in the 2008 presidential primaries if he replaces Pataki as the New York governor in 2006.

What about Hillary's Senate seat? It's up in 2006, too. Are the people of New York stupid enough to re-elect her?

I like him.

He's done everything asked of him by this administration and has proven a friend to so many campaigns. Like I said, I can't see anyone in front of him, albeit prematurely, for 2008.

Yeah, I admire Arnie very much.

However he isn't native born.

And he has those Mapplethorpe horse cock photos out there.

Not that there's anything wrong with that...

I really think Rudy has been tremendous during this fight.

"I really think Rudy has been tremendous during this fight."

Truth be told, Rudy has been awesome since 9/11 three years ago.

Prior to that, I couldn't stand the guy.

I've come around though.

Yes, its not enough for him to just win. He has to win by enough of a margin to prevent some late arrive Reservation votes from once again delivering the Democrat. He needs a big enough margin so that its impossible for a few precincts to arrive and torpedo him at the last minute.

Pataki has had his run as governor.

Rudy knows he has a better chance running for president if he is the governor of New York.

Governors always have a better chance than legislators.

Giuliani is a social liberal, not a moderate as he is often described by the media. I think he knows this will make securing the nomination extremely difficult (just as it would be for Sen Nelson of Nebraska or Bayh of Indiana to get the Dem nod), so he is going all out for Bush in the battleground states and for GOP Senate candidates in the tight races so as to build up his good will with the base, so as to say that he went out there for people he doesn't agree with on social issues and those same types should then return the favor in 2008.

He wouldn't be my first choice, as I fear he'd be terrible in picking judges and filling administrative and executive branch posts. I think he would sit back, and for example, do nothing as gay marriage is imposed on the nation.

But he'd be better than Kerry or Hillary. There would at least be a chance he could pick a good judge for the Sup Court. There is no chance that Hillary or Kerry would screw up and accidentally pick a good one.

You are 100% correct. We need a 500 vote margin going into Shannon and Todd county, at least. And, we need poll watchers, which I'm sure we do.

I liked how he cleaned up NYC. Anybody who could survive that Rat stronghold and comes out of it with a majority conservative position is OK in my book. But I do understand your point very well.

I wasn't talking about Rudy or Pataki taking Hillary's Senate seat--I was wondering if she would be re-elected in 2006 or would she lose?

He wouldn't be my first choice either. Heck, I have no idea who my first choice would be at this point.
