IF - and that's a really BIG IF this story pans out as this would indicate - how does it go back to being Bush's fault? Is he on the ground making those decisions, or is that the job of the commanders on the ground and in theater?
We were thinking last night that Rove set them up - now it looks like the opposite. The smoking gun was held back until after the Bush team gave a response. CBS pretended to be fair and now they will hammer this home on Sunday. This was made to be bigger than it should have been with the help of Fox, Rush and the Bush team. Now they will bludgeon us with it. Hope like hell it doesn't affect the electorate a la DUI 2000.
If I may modestly point out, it took me all of 2 seconds to see the problem with the date in the ABC story compared with the timeline of the movements of the 101st as regards Al Qaqaa.
