I have seen several threads on ABC's email addresses on FreeRep, but when trying to use them found myself bogged down in their registration process for comments. This page is direct emails not forms. Please contact ABC with your disatisfaction with their refusal to release the AUTHENTICATED terrorist tape because it might 'effect the election'. The blood of Americans will be on their hands if we are hit by terrorists after their resistance to release these tapes.

I e-mailed the following to support@abcnews.go.com. While I don't think the content of my e-mail is all that great in retrospect, I do think we should all e-mail them our disappointment that they are holding the story....

Dear Sirs,

After an entire day now of knowing that the new terror tape you received, purportedly of American Adam Pearlman, is indeed authentic, I still see no word of its existence on your Web site. Why on Earth for the delay? Over the past year or so, I've seen numerous reports on various beheadings and other warnings PRIOR to their authentication, and now we have an authentic tape and no mention of it on your news pages. You do a disservice to our country, and apparently out of political concerns.

I stopped watching your newscasts years ago, and now I'll have to stop visiting your newly designed Web site as well. You should be ashamed of yourselves and of your poor reporting!

I wouldn't worry too much about it at this point. I'm suuuure it will get out from another network in teh next day or to. When you send a tape like that to a government agency it WILL leak, it's just a matter of time.

As of this morning, they were still denying that it had been authenticated. I pointed out that it had been, but they did not reply yet.

They gave the excuse that it would be irresponsible to present the video before it had been authenticated (as if it had not been). I asked if other broadcasts of tapes that were not authenticated were irresponsible(e.g. Osama Bin Laden's and, I believe, Saddam Hussein's were broadcast before they were authenticated). They did not reply yet.

Showing this tape would remind people not only of the danger but also that a defeat for Bush would be a victory for Al Qaeda. The MSN does not want people reminded.

It is important that all Americans see and hear threats against us. It is vitally important that the entire tape be available for viewing. You have an obligation to provide it to us!
