AP: Did Russia move Iraqi explosives?
Albuquerque Times ^ | October 28, 2008 | AP

WASHINGTON - Russian special forces may have moved many of Saddam Hussein's weapons and related goods out of Iraq and into Syria in the weeks before the U.S. invasion in 2003, The Washington Times reported today.

John A. Shaw, deputy undersecretary of defense for international technology security, told The Times in an interview that he believes the Russian troops, working with Iraqi intelligence, "almost certainly" removed the 377 tons of heavy ordnance that has been reported missing from a site south of Baghdad.

"The Russians brought in, just before the war got started, a whole series of military units," Shaw was quoted as saying. "Their main job was to shred all evidence of any of the contractual arrangements they had with the Iraqis. The others were transportation units."

Shaw, who was in charge of cataloging the tons of conventional arms provided to Iraq by foreign suppliers, said he recently obtained reliable information on the arms-dispersal program from two European intelligence services that have detailed knowledge of the Russian-Iraqi weapons collaboration.

I heard on Fox that satellite photos are being considered. Did anyone catch that?

I think you missed my point.

I posted this thread.

I was noting with that long list of AP stories, picked up by world and U.S. news outlets, that the pertinent information is being buried by an AP story that quotes claims from a terrorist group about our officers and military.

They could be moved through Iran to stay for their use or moved to the coast of Iran and shipped through the Capsian Sea. Another route is into Syria, where they are now hidden or loaded on a ship and moved through the Dardanelles, into the Sea of Marmara, and past Istanbul into the Black Sea.

What is frightening about all of this is that Russia is looking like the dog who ate the chickens and there is egg on their face.

Point well made! Sorry! The important story is being buried by the flak to throw off coverage.

The question then becomes why the US Government hasn't shouted the answer from the rooftops since day one of the war?

Because WE WOULDN'T LET THEM. Our troops stood at the border while the Russian CONVOYS were going from AQQ to Syria.

They were held there by the UN and the DEMOCRATS, who BEGGED TO GIVE SADDAM MORE TIME TO COMPLY, So we wouldn't have to attack.

This was just one set of criminals, covering for another, and the US PUBLIC (part of it, anyway) was duped into helping.

The FACT the Russians were carting this stuff to SYRIA was ANNOUNCED in NEWSPAPERS WORLDWIDE.

The Russian CONVOY (one of many) near the end of the removal process, was attacked in a cross fire situation. THAT WAS IN THE NEWS.

WHERE the Russians TOOK THIS STUFF, was in the News. (I have pictures, wanne see 'em?)

It's OUR SHORTTERM memory that allows the DEMS and MSM to get away with this stuff.

I'll prove it.

There was an issue over the missing POW's in Vietnam after the war. A SENATE committee was formed, investigated, came back and said, "FOREIGN GOVTS ASSURE US THERE ARE NO POW'S IN PRISON CAMPS".

Question #1: There were two movies made about a guy that goes back to VIETNAM to rescue these POW's, that were supposedly non-existant. Name the two movies and the main stars.

Question #2: What SENATOR was CHAIRMAN of that committee? (In real life, and in the movie)

This means the following.
Russia, France,Germany were in this with Iraq (obviously).
They screwed us in the UN (sorry Kerry)
W was right all along.
Michael Moore, Howard Dean, Kerry, Edwards all wrong.
So wrong as to look very "F-ing" stupid.

Kerry must not have been a good prosecutor.
He has been asking a question all week which he did
not know the answer to, and ultimately may
cause him to get his clock cleaned now.
Let's pray the BM (big media) gets the truth out.
