What a mess, huh. The thing that really gives me the reds is there's something larger than the sovereign people of America. What exactly that is, is beyond the grasp of the unwashed apparently. "Cheap" labor doens't fully address the problem, and the old saw about illegals taking jobs Americans don't want is a steaming load. Undo the nanny state and see just how fast Americans that don't want to dig ditches, shovel manure, cut the timber, work the "green end" at a plywood plant, etc will suddenly find gainful employment.

There's more to our porous borders than meets the eye, and it's obvious the PTB see massive illegal immigration as a good thing. So what are we missing that our "leaders" aren't sharing with us? If the PTB were honest with the unwashed, maybe we would see the benefits of this invasion too, but I doubt it.

Good points, and right on the money, FGS.

-The root of this problem is (IMO) the nanny state/socialism.
Provide free goodies, and the illegals will come.

Unless we have some serious reforms, a guest worker program won't help a damn bit. In fact, it will exacerbate it, because guest workers will be eligible for our social security benefits, which they will spend not HERE, but back in the coutry of their origin.

That will bankrupt social security but good.
