C BS & the rest of the MSM know their toast if President Bush is reelected. They are most likely behind this. However for the NYT/CBS not to use this upfront tells me that they are now starting to distance themselves from their hit piece. They may still run the photos, but I doubt it. Since their credibilty has been damaged over this, the photos would have to be at least 99% verifiable, which they are not. It took just a few posts to cast doubts on what’s in the photos. President Bush has I believe has a 15 point lead over Kerry when it comes to security, terrorism, Iraq handling, etc. To base a hit piece the last week of the election on missing explosives is not too smart. Kerry’s is burning & crashing. Finally, last night, Aaron Brown after spinning post election litigation scenarios with his legal eagle, he said well perhaps there will be a landslide and none of this will matter. He was serious about the landslide. His partner in crime smiled. I don’t think they were thinking of a Kerry landslide.
