Mixing some metaphors, here is a quote from Senator Kerry last August.

"We've been waiting since 1918 for the Boston Red Sox to win the World Series, and . . . if I had a choice between the White House and the World Series this year, I'm going to take the White House. How's that?"

Funny thing, Senator. I strongly suspect that God put that exact choice before the people of New England...the Sox winning the Series, or you winning the election. And...well, you know which one they picked.

Sorry, Kerry, you got the World Series. And since you claimed Sox owners were in fantasyland like Republicans, I don't know that you can really claim you "won" that either.
