How the heck is this possibly good news?
The day ABC or any other network besides FOX, allows anyone at all to come on air and endorse Bush, is the first day of the end of Kerry's campaign hopes.
Everyone would point to it, and I certainly don't believe it.

[ Also, Gibson is not the conservative he is painted as. He is a class unto himself - I don't mean that as a compliment. ]
Interesting take.. I really hope you're wrong... If he did that, that would unmask him as a malafactor just as dangerous as any democrat. Not to speak of being severely uninformed. He has no excuse for being uninformed..

You all are being panicky chickens.
First, yes Mel Gibson is probably against the Iraq war, but he is just as against, if not more, legalized abortion..
If he says anything political tomm on GMA it will be anti-Kerry......

Are you sure this is going to be good for us or are you just guessing?

If Mel Gibson planned on saying anything good about President Bush, that left wing Today show would never have him on!

When I saw the commerical for it ealier today the closed caption said "conspiracy" when Mel was talking. You couldn't hear what he was saying, but it seems to me the interview had been "closed captioned" already and that small chunk leaked out.
If anyone taped "Lost" tonight, they can try it themselves.

Why would you say that? Because he's done it before. He's prolife, but maybe not as conservative as you think on other issues.

Yeah, I have a feeling it'll be anti-Bush, but that could just be me projecting fear. LOL

A hardcore Catholic like Gibson will not and cannot endorse a candidate like Kerry. It doesn't really matter who he endorses if he bashes Bush on the war, which bashes Bush's core issue.

He's prolife, but maybe not as conservative as you think on other issues. Other than the recent war and WMD issues, can you site other examples?

This is about the Catholic vote, which is where Gibson's influence ultimately lies. Because of Passion, Gibson has enormous credibility with Catholics. The "core issue" for genuine Catholics is Life, not war. If Gibson endorses Bush and reminds them of their obligation to vote against pro-abortion candidates--no matter his opinion on the war--it helps Bush with Catholic voters. Period.
