President Bush, on the stump in PA, took some time to address Senator Kerry's reckless handling of the NYT / CBS October Surprise about missing explosives. He noted Kerry is a politician who will say anything to get elected and that his own foreign policy advisor admitted he doesn't have the facts. For a politician to jump to conclusions without the facts, Bush noted, demonstrates Kerry is ill-suited to be Commander-in-Chief. He went on to note that the issue is being investigated and chastised Kerry for belittling our troops, likening it to his attacks against the military for operations in Tora Bora when General Franks has noted he (Kerry) doesn't know what he's talking about. Crowd applauds in obvious recognition.
It does seem like Bush launches his best weapons right before Rush.
Rush Limbaugh will be in High Heaven. Now to attack the Poodle and expose him for what he is: Anti-military, anti-American, disgraceful French aristocrat.
Election come and gone, and Peterson trial over...Will Fox go dark? :) Will Greta go back to CNN to begin coverage of the 2008 Hillary campaign? Will Hannity give Colmes a chance to wake up and say something coherent? Tune in next week!
Fear not, fainthearted. This will be on every TV news show tonight. John Kerry is toast. And....to think, his friends in the media did it to him!!!
AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!
(big sigh of relief)
Ed Gillespie must have gotten the e-mails yesterday.
Well there is the 2006 elections..
Does anybody know what time the President will appear at the Silverdome in Michigan today?

Perfect response from Bush.. Now the Bush team needs to spend the rest of the campaign labelling Kerry as a "Knee-jerk Liberal" and this race is OVER!!!!!

Bush followed up with the segment from his standard stump speech about how he met with the workers in hard hats at Ground Zero on September 14. Notes that Kerry said that 9/11 didn't change him and that's reflective in his policies. It was a nice segway IMO as it revealed Kerry to be the political opportunist that Bush had just charged him of being and having just provided the example of Kerry jumping on CBS / NYT fiasco readily demonstrated.
Just a little premature dont ya think.
Thank you very much for the ping!
This needs to be repeated ad nauseum. BC04 also needs to make a wolves-like ad pointing out the facts.
In a way, "without the facts" is a "diplomatic" slap at NYT/CBS, IMO.
"and the sound bite is ripe for Rush to rip Kerry a new one at the top of the hour."
Oh yeah, baby!
Good, solid response. Obviously, Bush does not have a smoking gun document refuting JF'nK (yet), or he would use it. But this response is short, succinct, and does not get beyond the known facts. Plus, it puts Kerry back on the defensive by casting him as the one who "rushes" in without judgement.
Finally, this is what Bush needs to say!
The President does not make tactical decisions-- Kerry (and the Main Slime Media) are really criticizing the military, not the President.
We all know what Kerry means when he said he will fight the WOT as hard as he fought the Viet Cong.
Lying POS.
My pleasure.
