They know.

From Hewitt:

http://hughhewitt.com/index.htm

CNN/USAToday/Gallup reports that the president has a 5% lead nationally among likely voters nationwide. And the impact of another media meltdown over a false attack on the president has yet to register. All the spinning from the left is another indication of the desperation to duck the boomerang. Bottom line: U.N. bigs are trying to help John Kerry into the White House, and MSM is helping them help Kerry. That's not going to play well anywhere.

Then there's this story: Nine percent of voters have already voted! And they prefrred Bush over Kerry by 51% to 47%. ABC points out that this 4% Bush edge is within the margin of error, but the CNN/USAToday?Gallup oll is outside that margin, which akes you think that the national Bush lead is reflected in the early voting.

And where's Kerry? Blue state after blue state. Down to spinning colllapsed stories that signify nothing except MSM liberal bias in favor of lberal candidate Kerry.

Time was when Republicans were at least embarrassed by their efforts to keep African Americans from the polls.

Yeah, imagine that. Republicans wanting to make sure that only registered voters vote. What a scandal.

But nary a peep from Mr. Meyerson about Ed Rendell wanting to make sure that convicts in prison get to vote but not our military personnel serving overseas. Nah, no story there.

What an ass.

"With Election Day almost upon us, it's not clear whether President Bush is running a campaign or plotting a coup d'etat."

Given that it's hard to pull a coup on yourself, I'd say he's running for re-election, Harry.

Excuse me???? This liberal pondscum can kiss my conservative Irish arse! It was the Republican party that registered the first black man, if memory serves me!

I wonder what the WaPost had to say about the dims tactics in the Democrat run segregationist south? Since the WaPo supports the party of Sen. Byrd --- food for thought.

Republicans are spending these last precious days devoting nearly as much energy to suppressing the Democratic vote

Give me ONE example...JUST ONE.

The Dems portray efforts to prevent voter fraud by requiring ID and voting in the proper precinct as "suppressing the Black vote." If socially marginal Blacks can find the welfare office and the local KFC, they can find their correct precinct. If Meyerson thinks Blacks are too stupid to perform simple, adult functions, that's his problem.

Joe: Danger Will Robinson..Black voters think your full of Shite..we need to say Republicans are suppressing the vote again..
Danger, Will Robinson...

John: Mr. John "Dr. Smith" Edwards, stop lurking about and fine Jesse"strange Alien"Jackson and begin to troll for black votes, start in the churches....

I can't see how anybody could object to efforts to rein in vote fraud. A fraudulent vote negates a real vote. Nothing is more poisonous to our representative democracy than vote fruad.

"Time was when Republicans were at least embarrassed by their efforts to keep African Americans from the polls

Wrong wording. Should read : "Time was when Republicans were too polite and racially oversensitive to try and stop minority felons, illegal aliens and electoral fraudsters from illegally voting. No more. Now Republicans DEMAND that the law be FULLY obeyed, racial minority or not!"
The John Kerry shills at the WaPo are clearly flummoxed by President Bush's continuing solid lead in the polls, and by how sharp eyed Republican Party lawyers are busy sniffing out fraudulent DemocRATic Party "voters" and putting them out of business.

One more of many analyses which will appear in the coming weeks about why and how Kerry lost and that Bush is again an illegitimate president and has no mandate to govern.

The number of people who swallow liberal lies hook, line, and sinker is dwindling, but there are still enough swallowers to guarantee that the lies will keep coming.

What has happened to the Democrats is that more and more the net has made their standard antics transparent and distasteful.

The nation does not need someone voting that can't find their prescient, or understand how to punch a ballot. The cries of disenfranchisement from the Democrats has become a transparent effort on their part to hide their vote fraud.

There is really no telling how vote fraud has aided socialist in their damage on this nation by placing illegal congressmen, senators, and Presidents in leadership positions that they have stolen.

"By all accounts, Republicans are spending these last precious days devoting nearly as much energy to suppressing the Democratic vote"

1) "By all accounts" is a weasely as "there's a growing perception"

2) We are devoting energy to keep you from cheating. Ensuring that your party's weasels follow the law is not suppressing the vote, its protecting it.

Yesterday WTAM played a clip from the head of the NAACP here in Cleveland, Ohio. He said, in part, (I'm paraphrasing here), "If a bunch of white people go down to E. 121st. (the 'Hood), and try to tell the brothers that they can't vote, they're not going to get out of there alive". I may not have gotten the quote exactly right but it sure sounded like a threat to me.

Emailed the author of this WashPost item:

"Dear Mr. Meyerson,

I enjoy reading your writing for it's style and syntax. That said, it's hard to believe that your worldview could be so myopic, and, amazingy enough, that you would still be profferred a job as a writer.

You whine about the tone taken by the Republicans, in general, and Bush in specific, and how this is suppressive in nature towards minorities. You add a cunning touch, albeit smarmy and condescending, about Jefferson Davis (apparently hoping that some will subliminally project the word "racist" on the president's forehead every time we see him on television). You flippantly utilize the word "assiduously" with regard to the president's "[seeking to]...undermine the basic arrangements of American policy..."

Is it possible to be so blatantly partisan as to completely ignore any and all evidence to the contrary? In your case, apparently, it is possible.

Forty years ago the Daley machine in Chicago, and LBJ in Texas, amongst others, were renowned for their ability to get out the vote (GOTV pre-internet) particularly amongst those whose home addresses coincided with the local cemeteries. ACORN has admitted to massive irregularities amongst it's registration processes. Crack has been offered as monetary recompense for getting out the vote (in a primarily Democratic area). Republicans offices (to a MUCH greater degree than Democratic offices) have been robbed, vandalized, invaded, and disrupted.

As for your petulant "Who does Trakas think they are? Have tens of thousands of African Americans been sneaking over the state lines from Pittsburgh...", well, no. The Democrats don't need that kind of state crossing from Pittsburgh. They're only interested in the ones who can vote in Florida and New York at the same time (again Dems have much higher rates of two state voting than Repubs).

But, I digress. My original statement was a medical diatribe about pathologic myopia. The symptoms of this disease, in it's late stages, are as follows: "...result in a progressive and severe loss of vision."

I would send you a pair of glasses but I don't know your prescription strength.
