I;ve stated so before on FRep, I'll say it again, and I still believe it, we are in the beginning of a civil war.

Between 5 and 7 p.m. Friday, an unknown Kerry supporter drove by a GOP rally near a K-Mart on Palmetto Park Road and threw rocks and sand at rally-goers. Several car windows were broken. I was singled out as the leader and had rocks thrown in my face, said Jack Furnari, president of the Boca Raton Republicans.
Hmm. I wonder where my sister was?

This thread has just added to the FreeRepublic Florida Politics list by adding the keyword "Florida".
Any time a Florida-related thread is created on FreeRepublic, please be sure to add the "Florida" keyword to it so that interested FReepers don't miss it.

It tells you things about the DemocRATs when their supporters are little more than brainwashed thugs, vandals and thieves.

"Garrison said the nastiness is also evident from Republican volunteers, adding that she hopes both parties will crack down on it. "
And yet, every instance in this article shows democrats attacking republicans.
Not one incident of Republicans attacking Dems.
"We do have a law enforcement presence at polling places in our jurisdiction, said Commander Diane Carhart, Palm Beach Sheriffs Office spokeswoman. No election-related crime has been reported to my knowledge. "
The real reason? "Because it's Democrats attacking Republicans. But, believe me, if it turns the other way around, we will be on it."

Is anyone compiling a list of links/stories of this nature? I would love to see a ratio or the like of Dem on Rep violence VS Rep on Dem or so.

I hope someone in the crowd knows how to use a Cam corder. Nothing like video when you take it to court!!
Florida pubs need to compare video for same persons showing up at different places to cause trouble. Again video is proof positive in most courts in the USA (FL is the exception).
I did live a long time near Tampa and decided to get out of New England South and moved.

Mistaken headline, based on a misleading opening that puts Democrats and Republicans on a par.
It's not "election violence," it's "Democrat violence." It shouldn't be necessary to read below the fold to discover that.

The brown shirts have arrived and theyre all Democrats. Needs to be emphasized. Rather than the press bending over backwards to provide equivalency it ought to be trying to find out if there is any in fact.

Republicans and Democrats duke it out at rallies and the polls.
PING...

violence from democrats is unsurprising, considering the fact that the flames have been fanned by their leaders in the speeches of dean, gore, kennedy, kerry, etc. these men should be held accountable for whatever happens in places like florida.
