Terrorists hope to defeat Bush through Iraq violence

BAGHDAD — Leaders and supporters of the anti-U.S. insurgency say their attacks in recent weeks have a clear objective: The greater the violence, the greater the chances that President Bush will be defeated on Tuesday and the Americans will go home. "If the U.S. Army suffered numerous humiliating losses, [Democratic presidential nominee Sen. John] Kerry would emerge as the superman of the American people," said Mohammad Amin Bashar, a leader of the Muslim Scholars Association, a hard-line clerical group that vocally supports the resistance. Resistance leader Abu Jalal boasted that the mounting violence had already hurt Mr. Bush's chances. "American elections and Iraq are linked tightly together," he told a Fallujah-based Iraqi reporter. "We've got to work to change the election, and we've done so. With our strikes, we've dragged Bush into the mud."

"With our strikes, we've dragged Bush into the mud."

Amazingly similar to the Left's titling of Iraq as a "quagmire".....

Mr. Bashar, a professor at Baghdad's Islamic University, said he and many of those who oppose the U.S. presence in Iraq were rooting for Mr. Kerry.

"They say there are 1,100 dead soldiers. That means 1,100 families hold grudges against Bush and hate him. There are 6,000 families whose sons were injured who hate Bush and will not re-elect him."

The most pro-Kerry, he said, are the former Saddam Hussein loyalists — Ba'ath Party members and others who think Washington might scale back its ambitions for Iraq if Mr. Kerry wins, allowing them to re-enter civic life.

Broken Glass, folks, broken glass.

These animals need to find out what the American people are made of. We don't want our leaders insulted and we sure don't like leaving a war unwon!

Putin said the same thing. He knows it to be true.

Iraqi terrorists want Bush out of office, says Putin

GEORGE Bush’s campaign received a boost from Vladimir Putin yesterday when the Russian leader said terrorists in Iraq wanted to derail the United States president’s chances of being re-elected.

Mr Putin said international terrorism would receive a "new impulse" if it was successful in its aim of seeing Mr Bush lose the election.

"I consider the activities of terrorists in Iraq are not as much aimed at coalition forces but more personally against President Bush," Mr Putin said.

"International terrorism has as its goal to prevent the election of President Bush to a second term," he said. "If they achieve that goal, then that will give international terrorism a new impulse and extra power."

They don't know us very well, this isn't Spain.

Let's hope that's borne out on Nov. 2nd, 'cause unfortunately, this country's has a lot of chicken littles. Hopefully they won't be enough to tip the balance to Kerry.

Exactly and the more stuff like this is discussed in the media the better---for us! Americans don't, to a man, like to be pushed. As far as I'm concerned, the only ones these miscreant as*es have dragged through the mud are themselves! They've proved every negative thing ever said about them is true!

How many young Americans were drafted to serve in Vietnam and had to listen to Kerry slander them with his lies. They hate him and it has festered for 30 years. Wanna bet, Mr. Professor, who hates who the most---and who there are the most of?
