Is he as crazy as the rest of the Du Pont clan or did he skip the curse? I must know before I read.
Very good news.
I am sure Mr. Du Pont has donated quite a bit of that plastics money to the Bush campaign, but he needs to donate more! Much more!
Pete ran for president in 1988. I was very impressed with him then. He talked common sense then and he still does today.
Clinton, pleasure-crazed. Hitlery, power-crazed. Kerry, UN Communo/socialist/Franco-crazed. AlGore. just plain crazed.
As long as these are the offerings, NO election is unimportant!
Definitely. I would have preferred him over Bush Sr. Although I love that SNL quote from Dole (Ackroyd) "We all know your real name is Pierre".
that's funny because it's exactly what I was reminded of ;)
Agreed.
Given two choices, which would you choose: - 1) A Bush win in November and Hillary Clinton in 2008 or 2) A Kerry win in November and Hillary never again in the white house.
He's brilliant. He was a very popular and conservative Governor who actually ran against Bush the Elder in the 1988 GOP primaries. He dropped out of that race early, but his lips haven't wavered since. He now is at the excellent National Center for Policy Analysis.
I though for sure the Republicans had it nailed in 1996 when we felt the same way about Clinton who ran against a boring US senator. What goes around comes around.
Bush will win because voters will have Florida 2000 in the back of their minds, plus recent reports of 'armies' of attorneys descending on polling places...
Mark my words...the electorate will not choose to revisit the Florida disaster...
Above all else...this will carry the day...and the pundits will figure it out on or about November 7
If Kerry wins, Terrorists will celebrate.
Why isn't that a commercial running 24-7?
I bet they will show that this weekend. They normally do an "election" show where they recap a bunch of political stuff from years past. It's probably has been almost 10 years since they have been funny. Dana Carvey's Perot was great.
DuPont's a good guy, but with all due respect,
there aren't a lot of rich Republican businessmen
who really understand politics. I'd take his
analysis with a grain of salt.
I love tests!
I had a college prof who said the only true dilemma was one in which "you're damned if you do, and damned if you don't".
While I accept the probability of Hitlery's nomination should Kerry fail, I do not accept that she is a shoo-in for 2008. We have four years for conservative entrenchment as well as the chance to develop an heir apparent. (Too bad Cheney's too old for the job!)
I personally would like to see someone like J.C. Watts. That would really give the libs fits!
Answer to your question, without nuance, WIN NOW!
Given two choices, which would you choose: - 1) A Bush win in November and Hillary Clinton in 2008 or 2) A Kerry win in November and Hillary never again in the white house.
Actually I'll pick number 1. I really don't think Hitlery is as crazy as the two Johns'. At least she knows how to pretend a little class.
Which would you choose, Hillary taking a shot at the White House in 2008 (and maybe not getting it), or Kerry setting her a$$ up in the Supreme Court, where we would be stuck with her until she retires/croaks???
BTTT
