Perhaps they have the documents linking Kerry & Viet Cong. That's what the article hinted.

Perhaps, some more digging is needed at the archive??
"These documents and thousands of others are available online at the Virtual Vietnam Archive. The Circular and the Directive are listed as items numbered 2150901039b and 2150901041 respectively. Their authenticity was confirmed by Stephen Maxner, Archivist at the Vietnam Archive. "

It is time someone put this wishful thinking to an end. Yes, there is plenty of circumstantial, circuitous evidence linking the Vietcong to the anti-war movement. That is not even in serious question. To those who are knowledgeable enough to even know what the hell "Vietcong" means, this would come as no news.
Where this story loses steam, like many others before, is in the details. We just do not have sufficiently easy to decipher details which could lead to an unambiguous connection between Kerry and the Vietcong.
Further, our (correct, in my opinion) condemnation of Kerry for even being part of the treasonous anti-war movement can be undercut by him simply pointing out the numerous openly leftist members of the then United States Congress, including Republicans like Jacob Javits, and Democrat communist vermin like Bella Abzug who were supportive and sympathetic of the anti-war movement. What are we going to say?
Lastly, even if such damning evidence were to materialize, no mainstream media outlet (with the exception of Fox News) would run with it. The media has now become openly hostile to us. It is not even biased any more.
End rant.

Unless Bill Clinton becomes Secretary-General and thus Kerry would be his puppet.

Any October surprise typically is released on the last Thursday before the election, which would be two days from now. However, if this is meant as an October surprise, it may be coming out now to give it another day for the story to develop. IMHO.

You are wrong. The msm, as you call them, do not run the world today. They may think they own the world, but they do not anymore. The very fact that we are here , as are millions of others, proves that Dan Fuc*ing Rather is not in charge. They are on the way out , and these lefties just don't realize it. There are so many ways for Americans to get their news today that we don't depend on the liberal media for information. GOOD BYE cbsnbcabccnnetcetcetcetc.!!!

Perhaps Kerry & company knows what's coming this week in regard to his dealings with the Viet Cong. So they panic and put together the NYT hit piece which was debunk in less than a day?

You're reading waayyy too much into my post that isn't there. My only point is that the MSM is the OJ jury when it comes to ignoring damning evidence against Kerry. I know darn well that they no longer set the agenda or run the world.

Maybe it's a diversion by Bush & co?
To: lonster
Plus, the main objective is to erode President Bush's base. That's what the DUI did in 2000. The NYT hit piece made no sense to me because it appeals to liberals. I don't think there is enough undecided vote to change the election
