My 16 y.o. daughter just read the original post and started to laugh. She told me they were discussing "Romanticism" in literature in her 11th grade English class today and the teacher asked if anyone in the class could give an example of this in modern day where emotion takes place over reason.

Some young guy raised his hand and said, "Yea, like LIBERALS. They don't do anything logically, they just go on their 'gut feeling'." My daughter and some of the kids laughed.

This same kid wears a hand made shirt that is pro-Bush and says he hates Kerry. LOL
