How could it possible go from explosives by the ton not being there according to reporters with the troops, to "WE DON'T KNOW" or they didn't look?

In the end, the press are causing their own demise as they are making themselves more and more "NON-ESSENTIAL"

As the President usually frames things, it was not personally about him. He said that kerry dishonored our warriors in the WOT, and that he disrespected the Military Leadership that planned and executed the war. He quoted General Franks in that we had SPECIAL FORCES serving side-by-side with the Afghans in Tora Bora, and that General Franks had said as much. The President also pointed out that General Franks had disagreed with kerry in the strongest of terms. But another example of how kerry will say anything to get elected. All complaint and No plans. No "Monday morning Quarterback" ever won a game!

I was shocked when I saw this on their site. They simply don't care that it's a lie and the media isn't going to call them on it. Yesterday every ABC radio break mentioned this story. Today it was like it never happened. Instead of admitting that the story was wrong they are just ignoring it now and letting Kerry get away with using a fraudulent story over and over. Then you hear that 60 minutes was going to run the story on Sunday night 36 hours before the election ?? It is almost unbelievable what the media has turned into. They are trying their best to interfere in our election process not just with their content but with their timing. I am convinced the NYT did this now to drown out Bush's last big speech on international policy.

Bingo. Kerry is not just criticizing Bush he is criticizing our generals and fighting men and women and at a time of war. These kind of attacks are meant to demoralize our troops and the public supporting our troops. Kerry wants the troops and their families to believe that Bush personally caused the death of soldiers that were hit by car bombs instead of blaming the terrorists.

These tactics at a time of war are as low as a politician can possibly go. Not to mention the fact that he is saying these things with Clinton, the man who is most responsible for 9/11, and the war in Iraq, right by his side.

There is no evidence this stuff has been used and if it hasn't by now where did it go ? If tons of specialized explosives could be smuggled away or hidden then who is to say that the WMDs didn't meet the same fate ?
