I'm trying to search my mind --in the mid 90's when the Republican's took back congress and senate wasn't there an exodus then of quite a lot of "questionable" people who left rather than be ratted out to the public?

Was that the PROMIS software scam that was floating around? I never did learn if there was any truth to that. Some folks cleaning out other people's secret bank accounts and sending them letters to quit or get wiped out. This may be my faulty memory, but it was something like that.
