I wondered the same thing. Granted, we'd all like to see Kerry slammed early and for good, but timing is everything. The news of Bush's DUI didn't hit the Thursday before the 2000 election and tanked the poll #'s for Bush as just the right time for Gore.

I say we give the GOP another 2-3 days before expecting their "October" surprise. And if this it, then Kerry will be toast.
