I grewup in Toledo. All of my family has moved away from there now. They said that it's VERY liberal. We used to know some local politicians ( the Wittenbergs) (sp?). The Democrats we knew have nothing in common with what passes for a Dem now.
My dad grew up there, I still have relatives in the area. My impression is that it is far past "liberal". Leninist-Socialist is my take.
