I was thinking the same thing about Steyn's use of the language. He seems to slip so easliy into a sort of stilted British style, which I'm sure is intentional. It just highlights the irony.

Silly me. I thought people actually read these threads. My full post begins with the q'snip. Am I incorrect in assuming that the typical reader of this board just might be able to recognize that he / she is seeing a continuation of the snip.

My comment, too, was aimed at the Guardian. They are slimeballs for running that column and slimeballs for not taking responsibility -- 'hey, hey, we were just joking.'
