Nuanced? I have read this quote several times and understand it, finally... In effect, Bush will have to have a draft if he continues the war in Iraq.
This answer is wishful thinking by Kerry. He is implying that this is a static situation and that nothing is going to change. In point of fact, we ARE training Iraqis to fight the anti government terrorists and they will soon be able to do so at the local level. Our troops will remain there as a reaction force in case they try to actually move to the next stage of overtly challenging the government. If they do so, they will be making targets of themselves and we will like that very much..

"The air is leaking out of Kerry like a cheap balloon ....."No surprise. Remember, this is the crowd that couldn't even organize a good balloon drop at their own convention....(hehehe....)

His answers are so 'nothing'. Literally, does he have a point to make in relation to the question? No. I give him this though, can he use the word 'profoundly' as much as 'plan'...and he really likes the word 'I'. Maybe that is suppose to give him the look of being in 'command'. He also uses the 'let me tell you why' line alot. Very practiced. He's still a backbencher though. No leadership

Katie didn't just lob softballs at Kerry? Wow, pigs must be flying, hell must have frozen over, and Chinamen have a chance.

The MSM will turn on Kerry to try and look (at the last minute) fair to both sides. As it becomes clear he will lose, watch them treat him more like they do Repubs. If I am right, this will help give Bush a 300+ mandate.

"...where we have nine out of 10 of our active duty divisions are either in Iraq, coming back from Iraq, going to Iraq and you face North Korea, which is now a nuclear threat, and Iran, which is an increasing threat and you already have stop loss policy, a back door draft on your Reserves and your National Guard..."And your history of "supporting" our combat troops will guarantee that enlistments and re-ups will just skyrocket.

What everyone is ignoring is that with Katie and Clinton it was sexual chemistry. He just turned her own.The same with Mrs.Greenspan. Kerry does not do it for them.Their is no sexual energy with him so they just dominate him for fun.

I thought Kerry was stunned by Katie's "Pot calling the kettle black" question. He absolutely did not expect anything so challenging from her. He had to desperately drop back to his tired old Vietnam reference talking point to respond. All it means is "I did X, Y, and Z ages ago, so trust me".

"yrallih' sounds like some horrible being from H. P. Lovecraft's nightmares."
She will run for president when the stars are right, emerging from her aquatic vacation home of Rilyeh.

Very insightful - if you are referring to getting dumped by the Red Sox owner. Not sure it's a full dump. He says he's too busy with the team now. Couric and Dowd can commiserate.

That's nice to hear. Which state are you in?
To: Pharmboy
Yes I can. She was interviewing someone about WMD, and was behaving very liberal in the exchange. But then something happened and you could see the wheels spinning and she said something along the lines of, if we had continued with the UN then now the sanctions would be lifted and Saddam would be trying to get WMD and giving them to the terrorists.
