What. Absolute. ROT.
Irony isn't irony when there is no counterpoint; there isn't any counterpoint even remotely made in this spittle-flecked screed. It's all rant and wretch: the words are not so much typed as vomited. To review:
The Guardian UK: Charlie Brooker
Saturday October 23, 2004
"On November 2, the entire civilised world will be praying, praying Bush loses. And Sod's law dictates he'll probably win, thereby disproving the existence of God once and for all. The world will endure four more years of idiocy, arrogance and unwarranted bloodshed, with no benevolent deity to watch over and save us. John Wilkes Booth, Lee Harvey Oswald, John Hinckley Jr - where are you now that we need you?"
Note to self: irony now means "unbridled hatred".
'Tis no matter. Americans responded quite resoundingly, as they should, to this AMERICAN DEMOCRAT-RUN Hate Commercial. Why yes, it IS run by an AMERICAN - one Albert Scardino, former press editor for David Denkins and media advisor to Bill Clinton's 1992 presidential campaign.
As per the New York Review of Magazines:
"The Guardian also strengthened its ties to America last November when it hired Albert Scardino as executive editor of news and business development. The Savannah-born, 55 year old is a former New York Times press columnist and the publisher of the now defunct Georgia Gazette, a small, opinionated paper that won a Pulitzer in 1984. He is also the husband of Marjorie Scardino, the head of Pearson and ranked number one on Management Today's 2002 list of "Britain's Fifty Most Powerful Women," besting the prime minister's wife, Cherie Blair. Albert Scardino has, perhaps, picked up a few things from his mate, who is credited with The Economist's success in the United States."
So, as you can plainly see, this is not simply a matter of some ignorant overseas paper shooting off innocuous threats about an American President. Rather, this is a matter of another Democrat media machine - run by a former New York Times Reporter and Clinton crony - calling for the death of their rival. And HERE's how they try to explain it away:
..."The final sentence of a column in The Guide on Saturday caused offence to some readers. The Guardian associates itself with the following statement from the writer.
Charlie Brooker apologises for any offence caused by his comments relating to President Bush in his TV column, Screen Burn. The views expressed in this column are not those of the Guardian. Although flippant and tasteless, his closing comments were intended as an ironic joke, not as a call to action - an intention he believed regular readers of his humorous column would understand. He deplores violence of any kind.?
Ah, indeed. Brooker deplores violence, as all Leftists proclaim to do - but not as much as he abhors dissent as he so eruditely explained in his Sept. 4, 2004 column, "Power Dangers" :
You'd better pray I never get into power, because at the first hint of, say, an anti-me demonstration, I'd be razing cities to the ground and ordering the televised execution of any and all dissenters. Which is probably what'll be happening in America some time round 2006 if "flip-floppin" Kerry doesn't get in.
He even cares about the little people:
By the way, that dwarf? He's the same one who turned up during the backward "dream" segments of Twin Peaks, except here he's elevated to a starring role (well, as "elevated" as he can ever be), which consists of waddling around with a conceited grin on his face, dispensing rubbish aphorisms and generally looking "weird" and "wise". Vertically-challenged or not, I guarantee you'll want to smash his tiny face in by the end of episode one.
Indeed, Charlie Brooker is a man of "peace". The Democrat who owns the paper, Albert Scardino, is probably also a man of "peace" - if, by "peace", you mean absolute crushing death to those who disagree you. It's pretty obvious that's what "peace" means to the Leftists who have taken over the Media world-wide. Charlie Brooker - through the American Democrat-run Guardian UK - has called for the assassination of President Bush.
Some joke.

Between the assassination comment and the Ohio letters, all these ding dongs have accomplished is to boost Bush. Useful Idiots!
Thanks for posting this! Good find.
Where is Hitler when you need to shutdown Euroweasels?
...sharing a "sleeping" bag w/ bin Hiden and Stalin in HELL/HADES? :|
Birds of a feather shock together.
Scardino was a pundit on Sky News over here in the UK on election night 2000.
One of the greatest pleasures of that night was watching his face as Bush was called the winner. I noticed he wasnt introduced as a Democrat that evening, just as a "journalist"
bump...
Scardino sounds like an extra in the Scarface movie.
I'm sure he's a man of peace...just like islam is the religion of peace. Two peas in a pod, they are.

I'm flying over to the UK for a week on Nov 7th. I plan on offering my thanks for their assistance, assuming all goes well.
I hope their butts bite buttons.
