About two weeks ago, an Indian paper noted that the US was building roads into that tribal area of Pakistan...

Now, if you know anything about military history, this means they are going to slowly but surely get him.

This is a very interesting take on the whole terrorist situation. Has info about Al Qaeda that I've haven't seen before. It also explains why Bil Laden isn't all that important. This is just one guy, so I don't know how accurate this is but it makes a lot of sense. Rather than building these guys into "Masterminds" it portrays them as guys who get lucky once in a while. Might explain why they have been so ineffective since 9/11. Anyway, for anyone who is interested you can read it here.

Send in the "energizer bunny"! He won't tire, rest, or run out of power! He will get his terrorist! LOL

The French would get awfully upset if we raided Chirac's apartment to capture Bin Laden.

Just what we need...more French Whine!

I don't believe this 'report' for a second. Just to be sure however, We should send John kerry, the "hero" in to ask him to surrender nicely. That would go over well don't you think?
The coward wouldn't go. He's been too gutless to visit Iraq as well; hell, even Hilary has more guts than Kerry, she went to Iraq.

Now that we know where bin Laden is

And we "know" that how? Because Lehman says so?

Just like "we know" Iraq had no WMDs because some former UN inspector, covering his and his friends' butts, says so?

Kerry's plan: First, tax him. His income is over 200K. Second, invite him to a world summitt. Third, tell him that Kerry has a plan. Then he'll come around.

I've been telling people the same thing for days! Send Kerry to Iraq, let him 'negotiate' with the terrorists. Sureley, they would reason with the man they want for our President!

Of course the Lavender Liberal wouldn't go, but wouldn't it be ironic justice to see HIM on his knees, in front of armed terrorists, begging to be rescued before he is beheaded?
Yeah-- a more 'sensitive' approach is what we need!
What's stopping him? Talk about win an election- if he could make all the bad guys nice and everyone love each other? He'd get the Nobel Peace prize! He would be the hero of the planet!
Ya got a few days for a 'big impact' move, Ketchupboy! What's stopping you?

(sarcasm off)

Send in Kerry himself. He's the big shot war hero in his own mind, plus he's been bragging he could do it. Go get bin Laden, pansy boy.

We should build a coalition, go to the UN see if we can pass the Global Test....

Then, if we do, we should arrest him and give him a really good attorney and try him in US court......

If he is found gulty he should be given no more than 20 years to appeal his conviction.

There - is that tough enough?

We should send John Edwards to deliver a summons so that he will know the fear of being drug into court.

Conventional wisdom is that UBL is in the mountains in the NorthWest provinces of Pakistan, protected by a ring of villages that would fight to the death to protect him (I suppose you could call that "Vietnam"). I don't think that's what Lehman was trying to say, however. We could lean very hard on Musharraf for permission to go after him if we knew where he was in Pakistan. Rather, I believe Lehman meant that UBL is in Iran. We would obviously have to go to war with the Iranians to get him out, and that could involve a Vietnam level commitment, Vietnam casualties, and (as opposed to Al Qaeda) the Iranians know how to do terrorism.
