Confirmation of the SurveyUSA poll showing a 47-41-8 race.

Carson is going over like a ton of bricks.

Coburn is surging. People are getting a good look at Mr. Carson and don't like what they see. Plus, Coburn is doing a better job of tying himself to the President, and tying Carson to the Democrats that Okies can't stand (Hilary, Ted K).

Sorry, I'm not up on Oklahoma races, but why is a Republican having such a hard time in OK, a conservative state?

The Democrat is running as a "Conservative" and has run the most negative attack oriented smear campaign against the Repb.

A dim is running as a conservative. He has made outlandish accusations against Coburn but they are starting to backfire.

There's absolutely no reason for the GOP not to win OK.

Oh, I see.

Yes, here in the South there are actually some conservative Democrats left from previous generations.

Hopefully, the Republican can still win the seat (that is, if he's more conservative than the Democrat!)

Thanks for the info.

Open seat, and Coburn has a bit of foot in mouth disease. But he's a good man.

Well, actually I take that back. Republicans need to maintain a majority.

But I do hope the Repub. is more conservative of the two.

Prospects for Republicans to retain control of the U.S. Senate have improved in the past couple of weeks.

This is why the Left is approaching this election like taking Damien to Church. All they've got is Swinging Sandy and 4 Lefties on the Supreme Court. With a Bush re-election the Supreme Court will gain a distinct conservative majority for at least 10 years. Republican gains in the Senate will deny Dems the ability to tie things up. The Left is going apoletic.

We probably need around 60 senators to confirm good judges. We have to deal with several RINOs who may vote with the enemy, and the Democrats have shown themselves extremely unwilling to compromise or make deals ever since impeachment time.

Zell Miller was almost the last Democrat left who hadn't sold his soul to clinton and the obstructionists.

With the lead that "W" has, our seat in the Senate (via Dr. Tom Coburn) is surely safe.
