NEW YORK (Oct. 23) - Martha Stewart has been exercising, reading and making friends in prison, but the food at the minimum-security prison camp in West Virginia is "terrible," the domestic diva's daughter said Friday.
"I'm sure she could give them quite a few pointers, but I think that the budget is so limited that ... I'm not sure how much change they'd be willing to make," Alexis Stewart said on CNN's Larry King Live.
"I think airplane (meals) would be better. It's just -- it's terrible," the daughter added. "It's not going to affect her that badly because she's only there for five months. But people spend ten years there. ...There's no budget to teach them anything, to feed them well enough so that when they get out, they won't -- in their old age -- be unhealthy and a burden to society."
Stewart said she had played Scrabble with her mother during her visits to the federal women's prison in Alderson, West Virginia.

I wonder if the prison lights dim when all those "Mr Wigglys" are turned on at once?

She must be badly confused. A prison is not a dorm.

Hubba..Hubba...
Why do I picture Helen Thomas and Madeline Albright in this picture, and Janet Reno as the Sensitive but tough guard..
I guess that I need serious counseling.

be unhealthy and a burden to society." It's too late......they are already a burden to society.

I don't know why she didn't plead temporary insanity.
Anybody on this board, if they have received a phone call from their broker saying a stock is going to tank, would they take the loss or go to the authorities and tell what their broker just told them and take the loss?
or
Sell and try to cover up the best they could to protect that very same broker that was trying to help you.
Not saying it was right lying, but jail time?
I don't think Martha is a threat to society.
Fine her big time and keep an eye on her investments would of been a more just punishment!
Remember she didn't get put in jail for stealing. Clinton got away with lying, her attorneys should of cited Clinton vs. Paula Jones case.

Why is the prison allowing Martha Stewart, convicted felon, press time?
Do we really need a blow-by-blow of this nitwit's boring prison life?

I read in her magazine that she wants to be able to bench 255 by the time she gets out. She wanted to try steroids but figures they would be tough to get in prison.
