76%, eh? Isn't that the same percentage that said they would vote for John Kerry if they could?

I can remember when I started work, 15 years ago (as a cub-reporter), I'd often attend functions in Ireland where it would be almost rude to refuse a drink at lunch time.

Now, I wouldn't dream of having alcohol during the day. For a start, I never drink and drive, and alcohol mid-day just makes me sleepy, and completely ruins my work performance. It's a mugs game.

This explains a lot about all of europe and their productivity level. It also explains why they allowed their countries to be handed over to the EU on a platter

I had a temp job many years ago & the other staffers used to go for cocktails every day during lunch. I was answering the phones & could not indulge....until my last day.

Well, in fairness the Irish (and our neighbours, I suppose) were always better at holding our beer! *LOL*

"76 percent feeling 'slighly drunk' when returning to work"

i think brits feel slightly drunk all the time, even without drinking.

"enjoy a liqid lunch three times a week"

just guessing, but based on the spelling of the word liquid, i would say this article was written and edited in the afternoon.
