There really is very little excuse for an ineligible voter to show up at the polls. Registrations close 30 days befroe the election and that is plenty of time for the registrar to process even a large number of registrations and get people on the rolls and send out voter cards. I registered in Bucks County, PA two days before the deadline and got my voter card more than a week ago. Very few people move after the registration deadline.
I really hope there are not 35,000 ineligible voters showing up at the polls in Ohio. I am hoping that this was just some olverzealous ACORN people who were paid for each registration and so they turned in thousands of bogus names to get the money.
