while I think most of us were aware of Sinclair's assertion from early on that they would not show the movie in it's entirety, their pronouncement was that they felt these POWs deserved an opportunity to have their stories told and heard on the mainstream media.
They had indicated that they were going to give these men and I stress the word MEN an opportunity to be heard. They did not keep their word to these men and in doing so, they have also taken advantage of them and only furthered their emotional torture
How many veterans who had looked forward ot this chance to have their side aired watched this special only to have their hopes dashed yet again by the main stream media.
I feel incredibly sorry for these men and their families and my only words of comfort to them is that I truly believe there is an almighty, an ultimate power that will make things right. And although life is fleeting and pain has an end, guilt will live forever with them. You can ride, but you cannot hide from your own humanity. They will get what is coming to them. God Bless.
Great post. You have a way with words.
