It's fine for what it is; some of you expect Kerry to be drug to the Mall in D.C. and burned at the stake.
Be happy this much got on; it's sure as hell more than anywhere else has run.

This was supposed to finally provide a voice to those who have been ignored. Instead, it made them look like the blithering, drug-addled, PTSD-inflicted dolts that Kerry and his ilk have wanted them to look like for the last 30 years. It did more damage to them than the silence of the networks has for 30 years.

Hello,
Immediately after the program aired here in St. Louis, my brother called me with the same complaints that are flying here tonight. I said:
1) Sinclair said from the beginning that they would air only parts of the anti-Kerry movie.
2) The overwhelming impression I was left with is that the Left does not believe in the 1st Amendment, our free Speech, unless it is speech that they agree with.
3) Kerry is left being accused of extending the War and contributing to the torture of our brave servicemen, Bush is accused of (maybe) being absent for a few months.
4) If this had been obviously slanted to either side, it would have been a total disaster. This (IMHO) was a more fair and balanced piece than I have seen on Fox in recent memory.
#2 is the most important, any fair undecided voter out there must have picked up on the steady stream of this point. If they didn't, they were already in one camp or the other.
Glad to be here, MOgirl

Agreed.
What this basically was was what some producer thought would be "fair and balanced."
I had problems with some of the coverage, but I could see the logic behind what they put on. I don't happen to agree with the logic, but I see the thought process behind it.

oh my word Howlin....I just realized you are saying EXACTLY the OPPOSITE of what I thought you were saying....this thing tonight was the WORST, it was ALL KERRY ALL THE TIME, except for about 5 minutes of POWS and even THAT included his goofballs talking....sheesh you are way wrong about this....

Be happy this much got on; it's sure as hell more than anywhere else has run. You're very correct, but I couldn't help being disappointed.
I think there will be a big story this upcoming week that may solidify the Bush victory -- just a feeling from closely observing politics for five decades!
We'll see. I smell something that the old media will not be able to successfully cover up.
