Washington, DC— RNC Communications Director Jim Dyke released the following statement today on the DNC response ad to the ad ‘Wolves’.

Recent media reports exposed the DNC and Kerry Campaign tactic of holding conference calls to introduce response ‘ads’ that are not aired.

“There is no evidence that the Kerry campaign intends to air this ad as it features eagles and ostriches but not even one dolphin.

“The DNC and the Kerry campaign have a bad habit of introducing response ‘ads’ to the media, generating free headlines and stories, but never actually spending any money to put these ads on the air in real markets.”

Zing! What a cheap tactic by the Dems! What's the matter, they can't get Soros to run them?

Shep Smith also nailed Susan Estrich on Kerry using the daily news and creating talking points around them in order to tag free media coverage. That explains the overblown flu vaccine and other garbage polluting the election.
I think they ran out of money. Big Time.

Some Kerry Spots Never Make the Air
Ads Are Produced to Spur News Articles

By Howard Kurtz

John F. Kerry's strategists pride themselves on the sheer speed of their advertising effort as they churn out one response after another to President Bush's attack spots.

Now it turns out that some of the Kerry commercials are being written, edited, produced and put on satellites for the purpose of generating news articles. They have not actually aired on any network or local station -- except in reports about the Democrat's campaign.

Since Sept. 1, the Kerry camp has released and publicized more than half a dozen commercials, on subjects ranging from taxes to health care to the war in Iraq, without buying time for them, either nationally or in battleground states. Others have run in only one or two markets after being unveiled with considerable fanfare. In effect, these have been video news releases purporting to be substantial paid advertising.
