Question to you all. Kerry said "I'm a hunter, I'm a gunner".
Does anybody who does any shooting call themselves "gunners"?

I'm a gunner". ***************8 LOL I grew up with my Grampa - a Maine guide...got Guide and Game Warden friends - never heard "gunner" except for someone on a battleship. Never hear "outdoorsperson" either ; Love to see him come up here - got some outdoorsMEN (and that would include us females, who call ourselves "outdoorsmen" - how un-PC) who'd love to get him out in the woods...and leave him there

He had a "door gunner." I've never heard of a hunter refer to oneself as a "gunner." Kerry is such a naive jack-ass. He's so transparent, it's really pretty funny, except that he's a pathological liar from the school of Slick Willie University.

I suppose it's possible that he is referring to his Vietnam days. Didn't the swift boats have guns? It'd be just like him to dress up in camo and remind people that he was in Vietnam.
